Terms and conditions
We endeavour to make your experience with us a good one and hope that you will enjoy the experience too. I have listed some points that are especially relevant in most instances:-
- The departure time is the sole responsibility of the hirer.
- There is no guarantee that our vehicle will perform a journey in a given time.
- Personal effects and luggage are carried at the owner’s risk.
- Quotations are valid for 7 days only.
- No food or drink to be consumed inside our vehicles
- Journeys may be delayed or cancelled at short notice due to snow or fog or any other adverse weather condition.

5 Star Gold Travel known as the Company, does not accept any responsibility in any way for missed flights or connections for whatever reason.
The departure time is the sole responsibility of the hirer. Advice may be given and will be based on historical events and may bear no resemblance to current traffic or road conditions.
The Company shall not be accountable for any loss, inconvenience, or damage, which may arise from delay, breakdown, accidents, severe weather conditions, fog, traffic delays, or any unforeseen circumstances.
There is no guarantee that the vehicle will perform a journey in a given time.
A direct route will normally be taken between any two points. unless mentioned to the contrary beforehand, or traffic activity dictates otherwise.
The Company will not be liable for any loss, injury, damage or delay, where inclusive arrangements have been made incorporating other companies’ services.
In any event the Company will not be liable for claims beyond the value of the vehicle hire.
The chauffeur has the sole discretion as to the suitability of road or locations that the vehicle can enter or travel through. No liability can be accepted if a vehicle is unable to complete a journey due to the unsuitability of a road or location.
Personal effects and luggage are carried at the owner’s risk. The Company shall not be responsible for loss or damage to luggage or any other property bought on or to the vehicle during the period of hire however caused. The owner is also responsible for ensuring their personal effects and luggage is removed from the vehicle at the end of the hire period. The Company cannot be held responsible for the safeguard of items left on the vehicle. Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate additional items wherever possible, the Company does not guarantee to accommodate items other than one regular sized suitcase for each passenger and one small hand baggage. The Company reserves the right to withdraw all services in the event of unruly conduct by passengers or damage caused to our vehicle.
In the event of the vehicle being soiled or damaged, the Company reserves the right to charge for any subsequent cleaning costs, or repair.
The right is reserved to subcontract a vehicle and or driver from another taxi or private hire operator.
Payment will be made before commencing all one way journeys.
Payment for return journeys will be settled in full at the end of the outward journey, or the first leg of a journey.
Payment terms may be relaxed from time to time at the Companies discretion.
No Cheque payments.
ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE
Any discounts or offers must be notified and claimed for at the time the reservation is made, and prior to a quotation being requested.
Quotations are valid for 7 days only. A deposit needs to be paid to secure any quotation given.
The Company reserves the right to cancel any booking without liability to the hirer.
Your booking is not secured until you receive confirmation by email or letter. Please check the booking confirmation carefully and inform us of any errors. We will endeavour to check all flight details, connection times etc. supplied to us by the client but the Company cannot be responsible for any errors or cancellations or timetable changes which result in loss or delay to the client or passengers.
In the event of cancellation by the hirer, the Company reserves the right to charge a percentage of the value of the booking. 50% if cancelled with less than one week and 100% if cancelled within 48 hours. If the booking has not been cancelled but not undertaken, the Company reserves the right to charge up to 100% of a booking value.
We will arrive within 10 minutes of our scheduled time allowing for unforeseen delays. After our chauffeur arrives at your location at the specified time, the first 5 minutes waiting time is FREE. Thereafter, there is a charge of £2.50 for every additional 5 minutes of waiting time.
RETURN OR ONE WAY JOURNEYS FROM AN AIRPORT
The company expect to be informed of any delays. The company shall deem the contract completed if the journey has not commenced within 90 minutes of the flight arriving at the airport. A charge may be made if the company is requested to wait outside of the 90minute waiting time.
No responsibilities for costs are to be refunded to any passengers who do not wait for their chauffeur and decide to take alternative transport.
Unless otherwise stated, road tolls and car parking charges are not included in the quotation and will be charged extra.
Admission into events or attractions is not included in the cost of the private hire.
Offer prices relate to a one way journey to an airport. The journey shall take place between 09.30am and 14.00pm on weekdays. The transport used will be our saloon car Octavia. Availability is limited.
Maximum 3 persons and 4 standard suitcases in total.
On Time or Your money Back
This Promotion applies only to collections and pick ups from an airport. Provided that your flight arrives on time we will guarantee to be waiting for you near the airport site as described in our final communication, (unless our “Meet and Greet Service” has been purchased). We will extend this offer to flights that arrive up to 30 minutes late from their original published arrival time. We will await your final pick up instructions up to one hour after the arrival of your flight. For return journeys from the airport the company expect to be informed of any delays.
The company shall deem the contract completed if the return journey has not commenced within 90 minutes of the flight arriving at the airport.
A charge may be made if the company is requested to wait outside of the 90 minute waiting time.
There is no guarantee or promotion for collections or pick ups from airports for flights that arrive earlier than the original published arrival time.
